The Nominations

Three categories, judged apart — an auto, a photoperiod and a fast flowering run are different growing problems. Four titles in each, plus two line awards.

How the cup runs

01

Automatic nomination

Entries open on 1 February 2027 — and there is nothing to fill in. No form, no fee: grows shared with Fast Buds go into the running for every title their category holds.

One round a year

A single judging round covering the whole season, so a title means the best of a full year of grows, not of one good week.

Handed out live

Titles are awarded at a Fast Buds event: the team on stage, growers and invited creators in the room.

A physical cup Coming soon

Every title comes with a real trophy, engraved for the grower. Venue, ceremony and prize details land closer to the date.

FAQ

Before you ask

Who can take part?
Any grower running Fast Buds genetics. The cup is only for Fast Buds growers or Fast Buds genetics — grows of other breeders are not eligible.
Do I have to apply?
No. Nominations are automatic: grows you have shared with Fast Buds are picked up and entered for you. There is no entry form and no entry fee.
When can my grow be entered?
Entries open on 1 February 2027. From that date your grows go into the running for the first edition, which is awarded on 3 June 2027 in Berlin.
How many titles can one grow win?
A grow runs for every title in its own category — Overall, Terp, Look and Smoke — and, if the strain belongs to the Champions or Originals range, for that line award as well.
Why are Auto, Photo and Fast Flowering judged apart?
Because they are not the same job. An auto on its own clock, a photoperiod under a flip and a fast flowering run are different growing problems, so each gets its own set of titles.
Who judges?
The Fast Buds team together with invited growers and creators. The panel for the first edition is announced before the event.
When does it happen?
Once a year. The first Fast Buds Cup is handed out on 3 June 2027 in Berlin.
Where is it held?
Berlin, Germany. The venue inside the city is announced closer to the date; later editions can move to another city.
Do I have to be there to win?
No. Attendance is not part of the judging — a title is won by the grow. Trophies for winners who cannot make it are sent out after the event.
What do winners get?
A physical cup for the title, plus the placement that goes with it. The full prize list is still being put together.
